What's Really In the Glossier Boy Brow?

What's Really In the Glossier Boy Brow?

While Glossier’s Boy Brow passes most tests for sensitive skin: meaning it does not contain any fragrance or perfumes, it does not pass the test for environmental safety. Some of the main ingredients are tagged by environmental organizations as having bioaccumulation properties. Meaning, that some of the ingredients can build up in the human body to become toxic, or that these ingredients have an adverse effect on ecosystems (ie, nature).

The problem is the list of ingredients in The Boy Brow, is long. Longer than it should be. And each individual chemical ingredient has not been fully researched. For example, there is missing data on the ingredient, CI 77499, also known as Iron Oxides. It is believed that this ingredient may inhibit fertility, as when tests on rats, this was the case, but we cannot know for sure because of the limited amount of data.

Our suggestion, go with a clean alternative, like Saie’s Brow Butter, or Ilia’s Brow Gel
